Gerd Hachen

Gerd Hachen (born September 17, 1952 in Wegberg ) is a German chemist and teacher and politician ( CDU ). From 2005 to 2017 he was a member of the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia.

Life

Hachen graduated from high school in 1971 and studied chemistry and sports at RWTH Aachen University from 1973 to 1982 . In 1978 he passed the first state examination and in 1982 he received his doctorate. From 1983 until his entry into the state parliament in 2005, he worked as a high school teacher.

Hachen has been a member of the CDU since 1982. There he has been a member of the board of the CDU's district association Heinsberg since 2000 . Since 2005 he has been chairman of the Erkelenz city ​​association . Since 1994 member of the district council of Heinsberg , where he is chairman of the environmental and transport committee. From June 8, 2005 he was directly elected member of the constituency of Heinsberg II in the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia, where he was a full member of the committee for innovation, science, research and technology, the culture committee and the committee for schools and further education.
