Gerda Conzetti

Gerda Conzetti is a former Swiss television presenter and book author. She became known in the 1970s and early 1980s for the children's program "Handicrafts with Gerda Conzetti".

Life

Gerda Conzetti was a primary school teacher and lives in the Basel area . She was politically active in the canton of Basel-Landschaft in the 1970s , which was reflected in the form of various postulates and motions .

Show "Handicrafts with Gerda Conzetti"

The program "Handicrafts with Gerda Conzetti" contained simple handicraft instructions, and these were mostly based on readily available materials. The target group were children between 7 and 12 years of age. By today's standards, the programs were very quiet, with no camera pans and almost no cuts . Gerda Conzetti often bridged waiting processes (for example the drying of the glue) with prepared intermediate steps and the typical introduction "I ha scho öppis prepared".

Since there were only a few children's programs to choose from on Swiss television in the 1970s and early 1980s, the program "Handicrafts with Gerda Conzetti" had a lasting impact on an entire generation. Gerda Conzetti has given the program the nickname "Craft Aunt of the Nation" or "Craft Goddess".

Occasionally the name of the program "Handicrafts with Gerda Conzetti" is used in German-speaking Switzerland to disqualify unprofessional work, not only in the handicraft sector itself.
