Gerhard Storz Prize
The Gerhard Storz Prize is awarded every two years by the Humanism Today Foundation. It designates the first prize in a theater competition in which theater groups from schools in Baden-Württemberg can take part with performances of ancient plays. However, it can also be pieces from ancient tradition, possibly in-house productions. The prize is named after Gerhard Storz , the former Minister of Education and Cultural Affairs of Baden-Württemberg , and is endowed with 1,500 €.
Winner of the award
- In 2011 the Prize of the TheaterWG of the Wildermuth-Gymnasium in Tübingen was awarded for a Medea collage.
- In 2009 the Gerhard Storz Prize was awarded to the St. Raphael Gymnasium in Heidelberg for the production of King Oedipus by Sophocles .
- In 2007 the theater group of the Johann Sebastian Bach Grammar School in Mannheim-Neckarau received the prize for their production of Sophocles' " Antigone " .
