Gerhard Abraham

Gerhard Abraham (born October 24, 1947 in Wolfsberg ) is an Austrian politician ( SPÖ ) and a former member of the National Council .

Life

After attending grammar school, he graduated from the commercial school from 1962 to 1965 and the higher technical college from 1965 to 1966. From 1966 to 2001 he worked at KELAG , initially as a commercial employee, then as a commercial manager and in customer management. From 2001 he was a works council at KELAG.

politics

His political career began in the Wolfsberg local council, where he was from 1985 to 1989. Until 1990 was then on the city council of Wolfsberg. From 1990 to 1989 he held the office of 1st Vice Mayor. At the same time, he was regional youth chairman of the Austrian Youth Union of Carinthia, regional youth chairman of the union of private employees (GPA) youth Carinthia, federal parliamentary group chairman of GPA youth Austria and regional group chairman of GPA Carinthia.

He was a member of the National Council during the 21st legislative period from June 11, 2002 to December 19, 2002. During this time he was a member of the National Defense Committee and the Audit Office Committee.
