Gerhard Nüske

Gerhard Nüske (* / † unknown) was a German swimmer who was active in the years before the Second World War . He started for the Stettiner Verein Wassersportfreunde Pomerania (WASPO).

At the German Swimming Championships in 1934 he won the 1500 m freestyle title. In 1935 he was successful in the 400 m freestyle.

His greatest success was winning the silver medal over 100 m backseat at the European Championships in 1938 in London in 1:10, 9 minutes behind his compatriot Heinz Schlauch (gold in 1: 09.0 minutes) and ahead of the Hungarian Árpád Lengyel (bronze in 1: 12.0 min.)
