Gerhard Veidl

Gerhard Veidl (* 1972 ) is a former Austrian basketball player .

career

Veidl came from the youth work of the BBC Wolfsberg. After graduating from the Federal Commercial Academy and Federal Commercial School (HAK) Wolfsberg, the 1.98 meter tall center player moved to Bundesliga club ABC Klagenfurt in 1992 (later renamed Wörthersee Piraten ) and played for Klagenfurt until 2002. In 2001 he became Austrian runner-up with the Pirates. During his playing career, Veidl was also part of the Austrian national team.

Veidl completed a degree in business education and economics at the Karl-Franzens-Universität Graz, which he completed with a dissertation. He then worked for two years in a tax consultancy firm in Graz, taught at the HAK Liezen in the 2004/05 school year and, from 2005, the subjects of accounting, business administration and network technology at HAK 1 Klagenfurt. In December 2013 he took up the position of director of the HAK Wolfsberg.

Veidl is co-author of several textbooks on accounting and corporate accounting.
