history
In 1867, the Sisters of Charity of Saint Elizabeth acquired the former manor Haus Berge and converted it into a hospital. The facility was destroyed in the Second World War .
In the 1950s, a four-story hospital was built as a branch of the Elisabeth Hospital and rebuilt several times in the following years. In 1983 a special department for internal geriatric medicine was set up under the direction of Hans Georg Nehen. In addition to the acute clinic, this includes a day clinic and the memory clinic.
In 2005 the Haus Berge senior citizen's monastery with 81 places was built on the site. Furthermore, 51 handicapped and senior-friendly apartments for the elderly were built for assisted living . They also belong to the Contilia group.
