In the years 1919 to 1931, the Rechts-Zeitung was published in Vienna .

The Rechts-Zeitung was published from 1850 to 1918 under the title Allgemeine Österreichische Rechtszeitung , which was founded by Theobald von Rizy and published until 1866. It has been edited by Moritz von Stubenrauch since 1850 and jointly by Stubenrauch and Julius Glaser since 1864 . Renowned legal scholars such as Rudolf von Jhering published in it . For the first edition of 1932, the Rechts -Zeitung was merged with the legal papers that had been published since 1872.

The court newspaper appeared twice a month with the exception of August.

It contained essays, book reviews, and court decisions on all areas of law, especially the Supreme Court on civil and criminal matters. For the years 1919–1920, the innumerable supplement “Civil and criminal decisions; Martial Law Decisions ”proven.

The publisher, owner and editor was the “ Manzsche Verlags- und Universitäts-Buchhandlung ” based at Kohlmarkt 20 in Vienna I. The seat of the editorial office was from 1927 at Habitgasse 178, Vienna XIII / 4. The editors responsible were Erwin Hellmer and Gustav Ratzenhofer.
