Court fee stamp
A court fee stamp is a device that applies a stamp to documents filed with a court that incur legal costs (fees and expenses) for processing . The postage meter is "loaded" with an amount to be paid in advance to the judicial coffers . With the stamp is then known as advance fee amount to be paid on the document, such as an application , reported. The currently stamped amount is deducted from the amount with which the postage meter was loaded. The amount of an advance payment to be made results from various norms, for example the Court Fees Act . The sum of all accrued stamps is to be settled promptly, usually monthly, with the court treasury.
The court fee stamp replaces the handling of court cost stamps, which had to be purchased in advance in cash from the court box office . For institutions with a regular accrual of court costs ( e.g. law firms ), the use of the stamp simplifies the work and under certain circumstances leads to an acceleration of the process.
