The Gerling Ring-Karree is a 55 meter high office building on the Hohenzollernring in Cologne , which was planned by Sir Norman Foster and executed by Hochtief .

The construction costs amounted to around 24 million euros. The building has a usable area of 25,000 m², which is spread over 17 floors. It was built between February 1999 and August 2001 at the level of Friesenplatz and inaugurated in October 2001. The client was the Gerling Group . Archaeological objects were found during construction, which were integrated into the underground car park.

The Ring-Karree consists of three high-rise buildings, some of which are arranged inside the block. Towards the Hohenzollernring and Friesenwall these are framed by two building blocks. It houses offices, showrooms and a complex of luxury apartments .

Foster combined modern architecture with nature. Inside the complex there is a lake and a green area made up of trees and bushes, which are inaccessible to the public and are exclusively available to residents.
