German tenors

The German Tenors , consisting of Johannes Groß and Luis del Rio , were founded in 1997. The music of the German Tenors encompasses a wide spectrum from classical music to popular music. They sing famous opera arias , bel canto , musical hits and hits. In addition to concerts and television appearances they occur (opening of the Arena Auf Schalke) or establishment of at events such as football games Ver.di on.

In 1998 they celebrated their first major successes, their album "Freunde fürs Leben" with the title song composed by Andrew Lloyd Webber stayed in the top ten of the classical music charts for 11 months. Appearances in halls and in all musical television formats followed. For their program Gala of Tenors they won the “Gala Artist of the Year” award. They have now released 4 albums.

In 2001 they took part in the German preliminary decision for the Eurovision Song Contest with the title A Song for Our Friends, written by Ralph Siegel , and took fourth place.
