Envoy-Counselor

Minister-Counselor (Engl. Minister-Counselor ) is a rank in the Foreign Service.

In the German Foreign Office, this official title is used by civil servants when used at an embassy or permanent representation instead of the official title used in Germany as Counselor First Class. It corresponds to that of a Ltd. Government director (A 16) or ministerial director (B 5) at the other ministries.

In Austria, the use of this designation for civil servants is regulated in the ordinance of October 4, 2011.
