The business building of the Imperial Post Newspaper Office in Berlin (1895)

The commercial building in Dessauer Strasse 4 and 5 in Berlin-Kreuzberg was home to the Imperial Post Newspaper Office. The draft processing was carried out by the Secret Postal Councilor Ernst Hake . The post-builder H. Techow and the government master builder Robrade were responsible for the execution. The architectural design of the street facade showed two 7.3 m wide gables. The historicist styles went back to the construction period at the beginning of the 16th century, when the "influence of the Renaissance on the otherwise Gothic architecture" (in private construction) became apparent. Profiled garments made of red Miltenberg sandstone adorned windows and doors. The window parapets of the three-part window groups in the gable showed tracery, the window roofing showed a shell.
