Protected term

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A protected term is a designation that may only be used if certain testable requirements are met.

Protected terms include:

  • Seal for trade goods to ensure reliable quality standards
  • Trademarks
  • many job titles , protected by state-certified training

A term is protected by its state recognition. This can be done through an entry in the German Patent and Trademark Office , through state legislation itself or through subsequent enforcement of trademark law.
