The protected landscape component of oak grove and spring meadow Elsebach with an area of 0.15 ha is located east of the Elsebach near Tiefendorf in the area of the independent city of Hagen in North Rhine-Westphalia . The LB was designated in 1994 with the landscape plan of the city of Hagen by the city council of Hagen.

Protection purpose
According to the landscape plan, the designation took place in particular:
- "To ensure the efficiency of the natural balance by preserving valuable old wood as a habitat, especially for cave-breeding birds, small mammals and insects living in dead wood, as well as by maintaining a habitat for the communities of the spring areas and wet grasslands."
