The protected landscape component Haus Harkorten with an area of ​​0.35  ha is located in the area of ​​the independent city of Hagen in North Rhine-Westphalia . The LB was designated in 1994 with the landscape plan of the city of Hagen by the city council of Hagen.

Description in the landscape plan: "It is an avenue consisting of 60 linden trees with a trunk circumference of approx. 150 cm, approx. 18 m high and approx. 8 m crown diameter along the approach to the Harkorten house ."

Protection purpose

According to the landscape plan, the designation was made "to ensure the efficiency of the natural balance by preserving valuable old wood stock as a habitat, especially for small mammals, cave-breeding bird species and deadwood-dwelling insects and for structuring, revitalizing and maintaining the townscape and landscape by preserving distinctive elements of the cultural landscape."
