Description in the landscape plan: “The landscape component is located between Hohenlimburger Straße and the A 46 east of Herbeck. It is a stream with adjacent strips of meadows and fallow land and the wooded valley slope to the east. In the area of ​​the former courtyard, the streambed was relocated and an embankment was made. Protection purpose

According to the landscape plan, the designation was made "to ensure the efficiency of the natural balance by maintaining a valuable old wood stock with an upstream forest cover and a species-rich soil flora as a habitat, especially for small mammals, cave-breeding bird species and deadwood-dwelling insects as well as the characteristic animal and plant species of the beech forest".
