Protected landscape part of the orchard at the Altefeld farm

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The protected landscape component Obstwiese am Hof Altefeld with an area of 0.45  hectares is located in the urban area of Marsberg, southwest of Erlinghausen in the Hochsauerlandkreis . The area was designated in 2008 with the Marsberg landscape plan by the district council of the Hochsauerlandkreis as a protected landscape component (LB). To the east of the LB is the Altefeld farm. The Platte landscape protection area borders on the other sides .

description

The landscape plan for the LB explains: “To the west of the Altefeld farm there is an orchard that defines the landscape and with its numerous and well-tended individual trees - mostly apples - represents a structured and invigorating landscape element. In the ensemble with the adjoining farm and the surrounding pastures, it forms an almost exemplary, rural-style section of the cultural landscape that is not (no longer) too common in the Sauerland. In the north, the orchard is supplemented by a strip of wood that accompanies the path, on which a number of old oaks complete the large tree population of the courtyard (not recorded here). "

Protection purpose

The designation as LB took place:

  • To maintain, develop or restore the efficiency and functionality of the natural balance
  • For revitalizing, structuring or maintaining the townscape and landscape
  • To ward off harmful effects

Like the other LBs in the landscape plan area, the LB represents an outstanding habitat for the ecological performance of the natural balance. It also serves as an element that structures and animates the landscape. The designation serves to ward off real or potential harmful effects through the removal of plants, relief or water changes, etc.
