The protected part of the landscape, Wäldchen Remberg, with an area of ​​0.21  ha is located in the area of ​​the independent city of Hagen in North Rhine-Westphalia . The LB was designated in 1994 with the landscape plan of the city of Hagen by the city council of Hagen.

Description in the landscape plan: "It is a valuable hardwood stand north of the city nursery with species-rich herb and shrub vegetation on moving terrain in connection with a meadow adjacent to the north, on the northern border of which there is a row of trees consisting of 6 partly old beeches and oaks." LB is between Liebigstrasse and Remberg-Friedhof.

Protection purpose

According to the landscape plan, the designation was carried out "to ensure the efficiency of the natural balance by maintaining a valuable, species-rich old wood stock as a habitat, especially for small mammals, cave-breeding bird species and dead wood-dwelling insects as well as the characteristic soil flora of native deciduous forests in the settlement area".
