Appearance of a grapevine with flowers and buds during the blooming
Arrangement of the tatters on an annual shoot

As Geschein in is winegrowing of elongated rispenartige inflorescence (inflorescence) of grapevine ( Vitis vinifera called).

The bill is formed in late spring, when the shoot tip has 17 to 20 internodes . Each leaf has a multitude of buds from which individual flowers emerge while the vines are in bloom. Depending on the degree of irrigation (fertilization disorder), grapes are formed from the fertilized flowers of a grain, which together form a grape (botanical panicle ).

The name "Geschein" comes from the fact that the buds of the Gescheine look similar to the later developing grapes : it "seems" as if the buds were already grapes.
