The Weisheit siblings are an artist family from Siebleben , a district of Gotha in Thuringia . You have been presenting high wire artistry in several generations since 1900 .

The members of the tightrope walkers perform a five-person pyramid as a tightrope act on the high wire . A so-called steep rope display without a net, with and without a balancing pole, is also part of their repertoire, as is the motorcycle show with ten artists and three motorcycles at a height of up to 40 m. An original Formula E racing car at a height of 30 m on a double-tensioned wire rope is also part of their program.

The company was founded by Friedrich Wilhelm Weisheit, the second generation was led by his son Lorenz Weisheit, the father of the current boss, Rudi Weisheit.

Awards

In 2003 the group of artists received the Thuringian Order of Merit and the Gold Medal of Artistry. In 2011, the high wire troop won the jury award and the German circus friends award at the Monte Carlo Circus Festival .
