History and Development

The Geser F-250 4x4 fire fighting vehicles have been designed by Geser AG in Littau in the canton of Lucerne since 1975 . Often adapted specifically to the various needs of Swiss fire services. The Geser F-250 4x4 model is based on the Ford F-250 and was widely used as respiratory protection, personnel and material transport. The vehicle has all-wheel drive with off-road reduction with compensation in the transfer case and automatic differential lock on the rear axle. A trailer hook for carrying various fire service trailers, as required. The tires consist of 4x 9.50 16.5 TC with a tire pressure of 4.5 bar at the front and 5.0 bar at the rear. The braking system is based on vacuum-assisted hydraulic brakes. Various fire brigades in Switzerland still have such vehicles in their inventory as vintage vehicles for festivities and removals.
