The Law on Assistance in the Collection of Duties and Enforcement of Property Fines obliged the authorities of various member states of the German Reich to provide assistance to one another upon request for the purpose of collecting and collecting customs duties, certain public charges and property penalties, which could be imposed by police orders or a notice of a seaman's office. The manner of assistance was based on the provisions applicable at the place of execution.

It was signed by Kaiser Wilhelm II on board the Hohenzollern on June 9, 1895 and came into force on July 1, 1895.
