Health Service Act

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Health Service Acts (GDG) represent the legal basis for the tasks and activities of the public health service in the individual countries of the Federal Republic of Germany. They are country-specific and contain the generally binding regulations on:

  • Tasks and structure of the health authorities or corresponding specialist departments in the cities and districts
  • Definitions of minimum standards and minimum equipment
  • Questions of local and factual jurisdiction

The ordinance on the public health service and the tasks of the health authorities in the districts and urban districts , which was issued in August 1990 for the future accession area of the GDR , became law in the new federal states after reunification .

The health service laws have been discussed, changed and reformed many times in the state parliaments in recent years .
