Grain tasting Metzen

The Grain Trial Metzen was an Austrian volume and grain measure and corresponded to an eighth of a full butcher . The term eighth cup was also used in relation to the size of the measure.

1 Grain Sample Metzen = 3 1/32 Parisian cubic inches (3 1/33) = 1/16 liter
1 Metzen = 1024 eight-note cups
