Trade union advisory committee to the OECD

The trade union advisory committee at the OECD ( TUAC for short or Trade Union Advisory Committee to the OECD ) is a trade union interest group in the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development ( OECD ). It sees itself as the interface between the unions and the OECD and has the task of expanding the view of global markets to include a social perspective. The TUAC coordinates and represents the position of the trade union movement in industrialized countries.

The body is now regarded - together with the Advisory Committee on Business at the OECD (BIAC) - as an integral player in the OECD ecosystem. Founded in 1948, the organization has 59 members (trade unions) in OECD countries and a number of associate members. According to its own statements, it represented more than 58 million employees in 2018 and is based in Paris , France. Richard Trumka is the chairman .
