Weight hundred parts

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The outdated term weight percent was often used to indicate the degree of purity of liquid chemicals (or, for example, food). It corresponds to the also outdated term “percent by weight” and is abbreviated as GHT .

This designation does not conform to DIN standards. A standard-compliant and SI- compliant replacement for weight percentages and weight percentages is given as a mass fraction .

Typical examples of (if not permitted) descriptions of goods when importing and exporting food:

  • "Canned pineapple with a sugar content of more than 19%"
  • "Food preparations containing less than 1.5% by weight milk fat and less than 5% sucrose "
