Giacomo Poretti (born April 24, 1956 in Busto Garolfo ) is an Italian comedian , actor and film director .

Life

Poretti, a theater enthusiast from childhood, dropped out of his studies in 1976 in order to be more politically active in the Democrazia Proletaria . He earned his living as a nurse for many years and was trained on the side in his great passion, the theater. He graduated from the Busto Arsizio Theater School in 1983. First appearances in pieces like “Il Conte di Carmagnola” by Alessandro Manzoni followed; In 1984 he met his colleague Marina Massironi , whom he married privately and with whom he formed the comedy duo "Hansel & Strudel" on stage. From 1985 he was the head of a holiday resort in Sardinia for four years, where he got to know a number of fellow actors, including the duo "La Caronova" formed by Aldo Baglio and Giovanni Storti . In addition to acting appearances, the future path to success emerged in these years: With Storti he staged his own play "Non parole, ma oggetti contudenti" in 1989; with Storti and Baglio he formed a trio that they initially called "Vecchie Fan Buon Brothers", then simply Aldo, Giovanni & Giacomo . In addition to stage appearances, the comedian trio was soon also represented in numerous television programs.

In 1997 the move to the cinema followed: Tre uomini e una gamba was a great success and was not only interpreted by Poretti, Baglio and Storti from their own book, but also staged. Further work in a similar style followed until 2014, with initially immense, later still lively financial success. In addition, Poretti was often in demand as a (mostly comic) character actor for other films and television works.

Poretti separated from Massironi in the early 1990s and is married to Daniela Cristofori . The couple has a son.
