Gian Andrea Rocco

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Gian Andrea Rocco (* 1927 in Rovigno ) is an Italian film director and screenwriter .

Life

Rocco was the director of three feature films, all of which were hardly noticed and are among sought-after rarities. In 1959, his debut film, the documentary Ballata spagnola , which he directed with Pino Serpi based on his own book and edited himself, barely reached distribution; Milano nera , shot again with Serpi in 1961, was shown four years later for a few days in the eponymous city; the 1967 parodistic spaghetti western Giarrettiera Colt was rarely discussed. For television, Rocco wrote a few scripts in collaboration with Edmo Fenoglio (for example for Le tre capitali and IL castello dei fantocci ).
