Giancarlo Scottà

Giancarlo Scottà (born April 11, 1953 in Vittorio Veneto ) is an Italian politician of the Lega Nord .

Life

In 1974 he graduated from the Accademia di Belle Arti in Venice and then initially worked as a freelancer. In 1980 he became a teacher for art education at a state middle school, but is on leave with no earnings. From 1999 to 2009 Scottà was mayor of Vittorio Veneto. From 2009 to 2014 he was a member of the European Parliament , and since 2018 he has been a member of the EU Parliament again. He has been a member of the Consiglio provinciale of the Province of Treviso since 2008, and has been a member of the city council of Vittorio Veneto since June 2009. As mayor, he was also chairman of the Fondazione Minuccio Minucci , which is located in the Palazzo Minucci - De Carlo in the Serravalle district .
