Preliminary decisions

A preliminary round has been held every year since 2003. The preliminary decision for 2018 will take place on August 31st.

Participation in the competition

Ksenia Sitnik won for the country in 2005
Alexey Zhigalkovich, the 2007 winner

The first edition in 2003 was attended for the first time and every year since then. Since Germany and Slovakia canceled at short notice in 2003, Poland and Belarus moved up as participants. Alongside the Netherlands , Belarus is one of only two nations that have participated in every edition of JESC. After the success from 2005 to 2007 (two wins and a second place), the JESC 2010 took place in Minsk , the capital of Belarus. In terms of points, Belarus is the most successful country.
