In 2014, Federica Falzon's contribution was again selected internally. In 2015, for the first time since 2010, a public preliminary decision called Malta Junior took place on July 11, 2015. However, only the performer was selected, the contribution was determined internally.
Participation in the competition
In 2003 they took part for the first time and since then every year except for 2011 and 2012. The success is manageable, they reached a fourth, a seventh and an eighth place, all other placements are beyond the 10th place. In 2005 they came last and after one penultimate place In 2010, radio withdrew from the competition. In 2013 they returned and achieved their first victory with Gaia Cauchi. In 2014 the event took place in Malta for the first time, where it was possible to achieve fourth place out of sixteen participants. In 2015 Destiny won Chukunyere for Malta in Bulgaria. This means that Malta is now one of three countries alongside Georgia and Belarus to win the competition twice. With 185 points, Malta also holds the point record in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest. In 2016, the JESC will again be held in Malta, this time in the capital Valletta. In 2016, Malta only reached sixth place.
