Azerbaijan at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest
This article deals with the history of Azerbaijan as a participant in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest .
Preliminary decisions
So far each contribution has been chosen internally; In 2012 the participants were cast. This system was also used for 2013.
Participation in the competition
The national broadcaster İctimai is a member of the European Broadcasting Union and even though the country is geographically part of Asia , singers and groups from Azerbaijan take part. So far, the success in the adult competition cannot be transferred to the JESC: Despite high hopes, they only reached the penultimate place in 2012 and only came seventh in 2013. Azerbaijan did not participate between 2014 and 2017, but will return to JESC in 2018.
