This article deals with the history of Lithuania as a participant in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest .
Preliminary decisions
In 2007 and 2008 there was a preliminary decision called Mažųjų žvaigždžių ringas , in 2010 and 2011 it was called Vaiku Eurovizija .
Regularity of participation and successes in competition
Lithuania has always participated except in 2009 since its debut in 2007. In 2009 they withdrew from the competition due to financial reasons. Participation has been waived since 2012. A return only seemed likely for 2016, but was then denied by LRT .
After a less than successful debut, they achieved their best result with third place in 2008. Due to financial reasons, they withdrew from the competition in 2009, but returned in 2010. After sixth place in 2010, tenth place followed in 2011. Since 2012, for financial reasons and a lack of interest, they have no longer participated.
