Preliminary decisions
From 2003 to 2008 there were always preliminary decisions.
Participation in the competition
Greece initially had good placings and even reached 6th place in 2005. After that, they were always placed in the bottom three (in 2007 they were even last) and finally canceled the 2009 competition for financial and ethical reasons. For 2014, the new Greek broadcaster NERIT originally confirmed its return to the JESC via the ESC-plus website , but then decided against participating. Greece has not participated since 2009, and no specific reason was given.
