Ukraine at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest
This article deals with the history of Ukraine as a participant in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest .
Preliminary decisions
A public preliminary decision has been held every year since 2006. In 2015 there will be a semifinal on July 25th, one day after the closing date, in which the finalists will be selected. The date of the Ukrainian final is August 22, 2015.
Participation in the competition
In 2006 they took part in the competition for the first time and every year since then. With 8 participations one reached two second places in 2008 and 2013 and 2012 the victory with Anastassija Petryk. The latter broke several records with her victory: The greatest gap to the runner-up as well as the highest number of points and maximum number of ratings relative to the number of participants. On the other hand, they came last in 2010 and third from bottom in 2011. In addition, the competition took place twice in Kiev : in 2009 and 2013. For the first time since its debut in 2006, UA: PBC canceled its participation in 2018 for financial reasons, but on August 2, 2018 it was confirmed that Ukraine would still participate and for financial reasons Your government hopes for support.
