This article deals with the history of Latvia as a participant in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest .
Preliminary decisions
From 2003 to 2005 there was a preliminary decision called Bērnu Eirovīzija , in 2010 and 2011 it was called Balss Pavēlnieks .
Participation in the competition
Latvia only came in ninth place in five participations and came last two times. Since the extremely short-term participation in 2011, the country no longer takes part for financial reasons.
