Preliminary decisions
From 2003 to 2005 there was always a preliminary decision.
Participation in the competition
The UK made its debut in 2003, finishing third there. After a second place in 2004, the deep fall came in 2005 with 14th place out of 16. The audience ratings got smaller and smaller from competition to competition. The fall in 2005 and ever lower audience ratings were the main reasons why the UK stopped performing in Bucharest.
