This article deals with the history of Romania as a participant in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest .
Preliminary decisions
The Romanian preliminary round at JESC was called Golden Art .
Participation in the competition
The country participated in the first edition in 2003 and from then until 2009 when they finished last. In the first few years the country was very successful, ranking fourth in 2004 and fifth in 2005. In 2006 the competition even took place in Romania's capital, Bucharest .
