This article deals with the history of Montenegro as a participant in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest .

Preliminary decisions

In 2014, the contribution and interpreter were chosen internally. You finished fourteenth with 24 points. This mode will also be used in 2015, which resulted in a 13th place with a total of 36 points. This is also the highest ranking of the country in the Eurovision Song Contest .

Participation in the competition

After the country was able to make it into the final for the first time at the Eurovision Song Contest 2014 , the RTCG broadcasting company confirmed on July 18, 2014 that the country will take part in the JESC for the first time on November 15, 2014. In 2005, the union of states with Serbia had already won a title in the competition, which only achieved 13th place out of 16 participants. Serbia itself participated in the JESC from 2006 to 2010 and 2014. In 2015 the country also took part with Jana Mirković and "Oluja". Participation was canceled for 2016 . However, a specific reason for the cancellation was not disclosed.
