On August 19th it was confirmed that Slovenia will participate in Marsa for the first time in 2014 . The first contribution was selected internally and published on October 5th. You reached a twelfth place with 29 points. In 2015 Slovenia achieved one of the medal ranks for the first time with "Prva ljubezen" in a Eurovision Song Contest and came third with 112 points. For 2016, Slovenia canceled its participation due to changes in the regulations of the competition. They will not return in 2017 either.
