Maraaya ( acronym : MA rjetka- RAAY -Marjetk A ) are a Slovenian pop duo . You represented Slovenia at the Eurovision Song Contest 2015 .

Career

The duo formed in 2014 when they released the song Lovin 'Me , which was a hit on the dance and iTunes charts of Belgium , Germany , Italy and Slovenia .

Raay is the composer of the Slovenian contribution to the Eurovision Song Contest 2014 , Spet (Round and Round) , by Tinkara Kovač , and both were responsible for Nisi Sam (Your Light) , the Slovenian song for the junior edition of this competition .

In the Slovenian preliminary decision of the broadcaster RTV SLO , the duo prevailed with a total of eight participants and were allowed to compete in the 2015 contest in Vienna with the pop song Here for You . They reached the final and finished 14th there.

In 2015 one of her protégés, Lina Kuduzović, represented her home country at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest with the song Prva ljubezen . She won a preliminary round against six other participants. At JESC 2015 she came third, which is the best Slovenian result in both the children's and adult competitions .

The two are married to each other and have two sons.
