Hannah Mancini (born January 22, 1973 in Fresno ) is an American singer . She lives in Ljubljana . Mancini is known for her participation in the Eurovision Song Contest 2013 .

Career

First successes (2006–2012)

Since 2006 she sings with the Slovenian disco formation Xequtifz . With the dance title Ti si tisti she took part in the Slovenian preliminary decision for the Eurovision Song Contest 2011 together with DJ Sylvain and Mike Vale , but without winning. With the single Mancini reached the Slovenian single charts for the first time. Mancini's second solo single was released at the end of 2011, but this flopped, as did the third single as a solo singer.

Participation in the Eurovision Song Contest (since 2013)

For the 2013 competition in Malmö , she was selected internally by the broadcaster RTV SLO to run for Slovenia. The title was chosen for the dance / dubstep own composition Straight into Love . After appearing in the first semifinals, however, she did not make it to the final. However, not only did the song fail at the Eurovision Song Contest 2013 , but also in the Slovenian single charts, in which Straight Into Love was not even represented. In May 2013 she made it into the Slovenian single charts for the second time with the single Back 2 Life . In 2014 Mancini was also involved in the Slovenian contribution to the Eurovision Song Contest, for which she wrote the lyrics.
