Darja Švajger

Darya Švajger (* 1965 in Maribor ), sometimes even without Hatschek written, is a Slovenian singer.

After a classical vocal training in Graz , she was active at the Slovenian National Theater in Maribor and also appeared as a jazz singer.

In Europe she became known by participating in the Eurovision Song Contest twice. In 1995 her song Prisluhni mi reached seventh place in Dublin . To date, this is Slovenia's best placement in this competition. In 1999 she reached 11th place with Se tisoč let or in the English version, which was also sung in Jerusalem , For a Thousand Years .
