Karmen Stavec

Karmen Stavec (born December 21, 1973 in Berlin ) is a Slovenian pop singer . After graduating from high school, she studied German at the University of Ljubljana .

She took part three times (2001, 2002 and 2003) in the Slovenian preliminary round of the Eurovision Song Contest . In 2003 she won the preliminary round and took 23rd place out of 26th participants at the final in Riga . In 2009 she took part again in the Slovenian preliminary decision with the title A si želiš . She reached third place in the semi-finals and tenth place in the final.
