Anžej Dežan

Anžej Dežan (born June 17, 1987 in Šentjur pri Celju , Yugoslavia ) is a Slovenian pop singer. His career began in 1997 when he won the national television karaoke competition.

Later the ESC experienced composers Matjaž Vlašič , Urša Vlašič and Boštjan Grabnar became aware of him, who have also written songs for Vili Resnik and Nuša Derenda . His first single, C'est la vie , which was released in December 2004, was very successful. The following year he took part in the Slovenian preliminary decision for the Eurovision Song Contest as a background singer for Nuša Derenda. However, Omar Naber was able to secure the ticket to Kiev . Another year later Dežan won the preliminary round with the song Plan B (Mr. Nobody) and took part for Slovenia in the 51st Eurovision Song Contest in Athens . As sixteenth in the semifinals, he could not qualify for the final.
