Gianni Celeste , born Giovanni Grasso (born June 24, 1964 in Catania ) is an Italian singer of the Neapolitan genre.

biography

Since his youth he was a great admirer of Mario Trevi and in 1984 he released his first album Ricordo d'estate , which came out the following year and sold 50,000 copies. This was followed by concerts in Sicily . From 1986 he dedicated himself exclusively to music and released his next album Il mio cammino (My way). In 1987 it was number one among the Neapolitan LPs sold. With his LP L'amante , which sold 100,000 times, he became internationally famous. He is still active as a musician today. His first film, Vite perdute , directed by Giorgio Castellani , was produced in 1992.
