The Gilera DNA 50 is a moped that was produced by the motorcycle manufacturer Piaggio , which also owns the Gilera brand . This model differs from conventional scooters mainly in its external appearance, which is close to that of a motorcycle . The displacement has a size of 49 cm³ and the scooter throttled a speed of 25 km / h, so that it can be driven with a moped test certificate . It is also available for the AM class with a maximum design speed of 45 km / h. If it is dethrottled, a speed of up to 90 km / h is possible without replacing parts. The Gilera DNA was also produced as 125 cm³ and 180 cm³ and was one of the most expensive 50 cm³ scooters off the rack.
