Gillian Gowers (born April 9, 1964 in Horfield ) is a former badminton player from England.

Career

Her first big success was winning the bronze medal at the 1985 Badminton World Championship in mixed with Nigel Tier .

She won the Canada Open several times, namely in 1984 and 1991 the women's doubles and the mixed. At the first Singapore Open she won the women's doubles competition together with Gillian Clark . Both were able to repeat this success in 1992.

In 1992 she took part in the Summer Olympic Games in Barcelona, ​​but could not win a medal there. For this she won the Badminton World Cup in mixed the following year in New Delhi together with Peter Axelsson .
