As Panikonographie or Gillotage is called a of Firmin Gillot in Paris , 1850 invented method by means of etching, printing plates made of zinc for the printing press manufacture. In this process, the so-called line etching is carried out photomechanically, with the areas free of drawings being deepened chemically or electrolytically.
